Charles Robinson (1870–1937)
Illustration from The Remarkable Rocket by Oscar Wilde
This fairy tale is part of the book The Happy Prince and Other Tales, first of two books of Oscar Wilde. It is illustrated by Charles Robinson and it can be downloaded from Project Gutenberg. Book is in Public Domain based on author + 70 years.
The book is illustrated with twelve full color plates (this one is my favorite) and many beautiful black and white color vignettes, which can be used in many on-line projects and as color sheets too. I certainly recommend fairy tales and illustrations but this beautiful book full of cynicism and pessimism is not appropriate for too young children and it needs some guidance.
